Restaurant in Marylebone
Home to the world’s greatest surf and turf, Beast is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in the Marylebone area.
MoreLondon, but many of us know it better than we realise.
Handy for West End theatres, it’s an area rich with hotels, galleries and great old pubs. Many of the roads around Charlotte Street are home to media, advertising and architecture firms.
It’s also home to the BT Tower - a great landmark to help find your way.
If you’re exploring this corner of the capital, you may well also be looking for great places to eat - such as Beast, which is just a 15 minutes walk from the BT Tower itself.
The Beast experience is like no other - the world’s finest surf and turf, with flesh and fish sourced from as far afield as the Canadian prairies and the inky depths of the Barents Sea.
Beast’s various menus take you on a guided tour of the world’s best seafood and steak; the A La Carte begins with sensational starters including Lobster Tacos, Wild King Prawn and Hand Dived Orkney Isles scallops.
The main courses ‘From The Land’ and ‘From The Sea’ feature such temptations as the Whole Norwegian Crab, King Crab Legs & Claw, Australian grain-fed Chateaubriand (we also serve Irish grass-fed) and incredible Lake District Farmers and USDA Nebraska steaks - Bone in Sirloin / Porterhouse or Ribeye available in both cases.
The Tasting Menu is a six-course celebration of incredible meats, seafood and cheese, with an optional wine pairing for each; or, take it to another level still with Land & Sea and Ultimate Land & Sea menus…
Someone once wisely said: ‘pessimists see the glass half empty, optimists are already ordering another bottle’; a great menu is little without an equally impressive wine list - and Beast’s 300 exceptional bins feature top producers such as Rothschild, Opus One, Lafite, Margaux, and Sine Qua Non.
Choose from a single glass, a carafe, bottle or a larger format such as a magnum or jeroboam, it’s all here; the countries of origin (pretty much) cover every continent and corner of the world - New Zealand to Spain to Greece, France to Argentina, USA to Italy.
The Beast wine selection features a great choice of red, white or rosé, champagne or sparkling wine, including some hidden gems which form the section headed ‘Sommelier on Tour’.
A glass of sweet or fortified wine is the perfect way to bring a close to a Beast feast, so naturally the wine list includes the likes of a Hungarian Tokaj, Château d’Yquem from Sauternes or something from the enviable cellar of ports.
Head away from Fitzrovia’s busy streets towards Soho and Mayfair and you’ll find Beast in Chapel Place, just a few minutes’ walk from Charlotte Street, and within easy reach of many of the capital’s famous landmarks and attractions, including the wide open spaces of Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Green Park, and the likes of The Cartoon Museum, The National Gallery and British Museum.
