There are few things better to eat than a good steak - but if, like us, you’re slightly obsessed, that steak has to be good. The best, in fact.

Beast is all about that crazy passion, craving nature’s finest flesh - whether that’s the wide open plains of Nebraska, the Japanese Wagyu ranches, dales of the Lake District or the Australian outback.

Raising the ‘steaks’

With its enviable array of prime cuts from across the globe, Beast is one of the best steak restaurants in Soho - and anywhere else too, if we do say so ourselves.

It all begins with the starters and the melt-in-the-mouth Wagyu Tataki; staying in Japan, the main courses feature Tajima-gyu Kobe Sirloin or Japanese Sakura Wagyu Sirloin.

Head Down Under for some incredible 150-day grain-fed Australian Chateaubriand, across to Europe for grass-fed Irish Chateaubriand, or go north to the Lake District for some fantastic grass-fed Bone-in Ribeye, Bone-in Sirloin/Porterhouse.

Let’s not forget the prairies of Nebraska, home to the USDA 150-day, corn-fed steaks for which Beast is renowned - be it Bone-in Ribeye, Bone-in Sirloin or Porterhouse.

The drinks drop

A great steak deserves an equally great glass of wine - which is why Beast’s wine list spans 300 exceptional bins from across both the Old World and New World - from France, Italy and Spain, to Germany, Greece and Portugal, to USA, Argentina, New Zealand and Australia.

The producers read like a roll call of a Who’s Who of the wine world - Lafite, Margaux, Rothschild, Opus One and Sine Qua Non to name but a few.

As well as wines, Beast’s drinks list has some amazing cocktails.

Beast Signature cocktails include the intriguingly titled Mexican widow, Route 51, Blimey and This is not a painkiller; Beast Classics include the Pisco Sour, Beast Martini or Mai Tai.

On the map

Seeking out a Soho steak restaurant shouldn’t require a degree in geography - and that’s true for Beast, which is pretty easy to find.

The restaurant may lie behind an enigmatic door in a candlelit subterranean sanctuary, but it’s well placed in the heart of the capital, Chapel Place, the centre of retail therapy.

Love shopping? Beast is also close to the likes of Liberty, Fortnum & Mason, Savile Row and Carnaby Street.

If you’re visiting London as a tourist, Beast is not far from a host of famous landmarks and attractions including The British Museum, Buckingham Palace and the myriad of theatres around Leicester Square and Shaftesbury Avenue.

If it’s fresh air and green spaces you seek, the wide open spaces of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are not far away.
